Privacy
Short version: without signing in, everything stays in your own browser. If you sign in to use the leaderboard, your name, email address and which games you played each day are stored on our server so your group members can see them. The extension adds its saved results to your leaderboard while you're signed in, unless you turn that off.
The website
Your settings (like hiding paid games), which games you opened today and the progress and statistics of the games built into the site are saved in your browser's local storage. As long as you don't sign in, they never leave your device, and clearing your browser data removes them.
Groups and the leaderboard
Signing in is optional and only needed for the leaderboard. When you sign in with Google:
- Your account: your name, email address and profile picture from Google are stored by Neon Auth, the sign-in service we use. Other members in your groups see your name and picture, never your email address.
- Your daily results: which games you opened on which day, and your result in the games built into this site (for example a Minesweeper time or a Kniffel score), are sent to our server. Results from other sites are sent if you paste their share text yourself, or if the MyDailies Tracker extension saved them (see below).
- Your groups: groups you create or join. You join a group when someone gives you its invite link and you accept it. Anyone with a group's link can see the group name and member count until a member makes a new one.
- Who sees it: only you and the other members of your groups see your results and streaks. Leaving a group stops this both ways.
The data is stored in a Postgres database run by Neon (Databricks) in Frankfurt, Germany. There is no advertising or tracking, and the data isn't shared with anyone else. You can delete your account at any time from the account menu in the header (“Delete account”), which removes your sign-in, results and group memberships for good.
The MyDailies Tracker extension
- It runs only on the daily game sites listed on MyDailies. There, it reads the text a game copies or shares when you press its Share button, and keeps it only if it is a game result.
- Results (game, date, won or lost, tries, score and the share text) are saved in the browser's extension storage on your device.
- Your leaderboard: when you open MyDailies while signed in, the extension hands the site your results from the last 60 days (game, date and a short score like 4/6, never the share text), and the site sends them to our server as described above. Turn this off in the extension's Stats & backup page. Results already sent stay until you delete your account. Without signing in, nothing leaves your browser.
- The extension itself makes no network requests and contains no tracking or advertising.
- You can export your results as a JSON file and import them elsewhere. Removing the extension deletes its data.
